Hero Goblins - February 2026 (Season 80)
Stats and ability details of the new Clash Royale Hero card for Goblins
February will the third season focused on Heroes, adding 2 more Heroes to the pool. This leaves us at a total of 8 Heroes, which is still far away from the 39 Evolutions we have.
Although some players of the community miss Evolution releases, it does make sense to prioritise Heroes for a while; at least until there are enough to enable balance and variety.

Video Preview
Hero Goblins
As with all Heroes, the base stats are the same as the normal card. The only change is the Hero Ability it enables.
Hero Goblins’ description is:
A single gobble of Goblins is never enough!
Hero Goblins are far too clever go into battle without backup, so the final one to fall drops an unassuming banner that signals the second wave.
Ability: Banner Brigade
Note: all the following stats are from our developer build and subject to change. We use Tournament Standard stats (Level 11).
Banner Brigade is Goblins’ Hero Ability. It costs 1 Elixir, and the description says the following:
The last Goblin standing drops a banner that calls in reinforcements
This Hero ability is a bit unusual, as you can't activate it as soon as the Hero is deployed. Instead, you have to wait until all 4 Goblins have been defeated.
The death of the last Goblin is what spawns the Brigade Banner, which has the Hero ability is linked to. The banner stays in the arena for just 7 seconds, and that's the time you have to decide if you want to activate Banner Brigade or not. This 7 second window is shown visually in the arena, with a blue area around the banner that spins down.
This means that, as a player, you have some control over when and whether you activate the second stage of this card. Instead of summoning the Goblin Brigade directly, you may want to wait until enemies have moved away.
When the Goblin Brigade is summoned, 4 new goblins spawn around the Brigade Banner. At the moment, that Brigade Goblins have the same stats as normal Goblins, but they are defined as a different troop. In the future, this distinction could be used for balance adjustments; for now they just have a different appearance.
As all the other Heroes, Hero Goblins have a new 3D design that will distinguish them from normal Goblins.
How to unlock
Hero Goblins will be released on February 2nd, with the start of the new season.
This Hero can be unlocked with premium Pass Royale from the February 2026 season. The version of Pass Royale that includes a Hero is only available after reaching Arena 15 at 5,000 trophies.
If this release follows the pattern set by previous Heroes, Hero Goblins should become available in Hero Summons 2 weeks later (February 16th).
Duplicate Value
A recent change in Clash Royale removed the Duplicate Hero mechanic from Hero Summons. This means that duplicates should not be given unless you have already collected all the available Heroes. If this happens, Goblins are a Common card, so in exchange you would receive:
- 20 Hero Fragments
- 7,500 Goblins Cards
Note that this is the maximum conversion, which is obtained after reaching Arena 28; this unlocks Chest Content Level 16. Players at lower arenas receive a slightly lower duplicate conversion.
