Spawners (Rework)
In recent seasons, Spawners (buildings that generate units) have risen in popularity, and have collectively led to passive and defensive gameplays and frustrating battles.
This SimCity-like double/triple hut strategy used to be only seen in lower arenas, but somehow has become so strong that players have been using them in Grand Challenges and even winning the most recent 20-win challenge!
To deal with this problem head on, spawners will be getting a reduction of lifetime and reduce the accumulation of buildings especially during overtime. They will also be getting a Hitpoint nerf so they will be less effective options as other defensive buildings like Bomb Tower and Tesla.
As a result of this change, Poison will become stronger against them. Both Goblin Hut and Furnace will receive a Poison 1-tick hit for death spawned units which would prevent them from dealing damages to princess towers. In other words, Poison will be able to fully counter both Furnace and Goblin Hut after balances.
In addition to the HP and Lifetime nerf, all of the spawners will spawn units faster. Although this change may look like a buff on paper, it actually should help units deal with the spawned troops more effectively as they will now be clustered closer together.

FAQ: Why does the card info screen shows spawn rate at 3.8 sec when the spawn rate is 3.3 sec?
When a building spawns more than 1 unit, the card info screen adds up spawn intervals between units to the spawn rate on the card info screen. For Tombstone:
- Spawn interval between waves = 3.3 sec
- Spawn interval between each skeleton = 0.5 sec
- Together = 3.3 + 0.5 = 3.8 sec
The info we give is consistent with what is displayed. The card info screen calculations need to accomodate for conditions for all the cards. In this specific case, there seems to be a discrepancy but we can assure you that the Tombstone is behaving as described:
it spawns 2 Skeletons per wave and there’s a pause of 3.3 sec between each spawn.

Executioner (Buff)
Executioner’s use rate has been low, and he will be getting a small HP buff.

Rascal Girls (Buff)
Rascals’ win rate has been fairly strong but their use rate remain low. The Clash Royale balance team hopes that giving them a slight buff will encourage players to consider them when they build decks.

Dart Goblin (Buff)
Dart Goblin is getting a significant damage increase so that he will be be more effective against win conditions with high HP such as Giant and Hog Rider.

Ice Wizard (Buff)
Ice Wizard may have been overly nerfed in the last balance, so he will be getting a Deploy Effect buff — similar to how Electro Wizard applies a Zap during deploy.
After balances, Ice Wizard will apply a Cold Effect during deploy. This will inflict a small amount of damage and applies a slow down to troops.

Fire Spirit (Nerf)
Indirectly nerfing the Furnace, this jump range nerf is designed to help ranged units deal with Fire Spirits more effectively so they won’t get hit while defending.

The cage of Goblin Cage is receiving a HP nerf. This keeps the Goblin Brawler strong while removing some of the defensive aspect of the card.

Mother Witch (Nerf)
So that players will have more options to take out the pesky Mother Witch, she will be getting another HP nerf. After this change, you will be able to take her out with Arrows and Zap — which is far more common than Arrows and Log, which she does die to right now.
