The July update is jam-packed with features! Watch the TV Royale episode or jump to the notes about Pass Royale, the new arena, Fisherman (the new card), Balance Changes, Melee Rework, Classic Decks.


Pass Royale

Pass Royale unlocks rewards & instant perks

Season 1 Pass Royale Rewards & Perks

  • Season 1 Tower Skin. A Shark Tank Tower Skin for your tower with Pass Royale
  • Season 1 Emote. If you unlock them, you get to keep them forever.
  • Many More Rewards.

Pass Royale Rewards & Perks for All Seasons

  • Automatic Chest Unlocking. Queue up your next chest to start unlocking automatically.
  • Unlimited Special Challenge Retries. Enter & retry Special Challenges until you get the rewards without spending Gems.
  • Golden Name Cosmetic. Your player name gets a cosmetic change.
  • Lightning Strikes. Strikes down unwanted cards to get what you want.

Crown Chest Changes

  • Crown Chests are now earned in the FREE tiers of Pass Royale. Each tier contains a Crown Chest and unlocks every 24 hours. On weekends, 2 tiers unlock every 24 hours.
  • With Pass Royale, you unlock tiers just by earning Crowns ‐ there is no timer!
  • Crown Chests now stack more than twice.
  • Crown Chests still require 10 Crowns to open

Upgraded Free-Tier Rewards without Pass Royale

  • Crown Chests now stack. No more missing out if you don't play for a few days!
  • Free Legendary in the final Season tier if you are Arena 7 or higher

SEASON 1: THE FLOOD HAS ARRIVED...

Every season will be either 28 or 35 days, and carries a specific theme. The first season will be The Flood.

  • New Arena. Fisherman’s Float


  • New Card ‐ Fisherman.
    • Fisherman pulls enemies towards him and damaging them in the process, causing melee damage and adding a slow effect.
    • He can also pull himself to the nearest enemy building or Tower!
  • New Game Modes
    • Take To The Skies. An air-troop only game mode
    • Wild Fisherman. Fisherman sits in the middle of arena — a bit like Dragon Hunt.


Balance Changes

  • 🔴 Giant Snowball: -17% Radius (3.0 → 2.5)
  • 🔴 Inferno Tower: -25% Lifetime (40s → 30s)
  • 🔴 Barbarian Barrel: -33% Radius (1.95 → 1.3)
  • 🔵 Goblin Cage: +25% Lifetime (15s → 20s)
  • 🔵 Goblin Brawler: +25% Damage
  • Cannon Cart:
    • Damage: ‐17%
    • Range: +10% (5 → 5.5)
    • Hit Speed: +17% (1.2sec → 1.0sec)
    • Hitpoints/Shield: +1.5%
  • Cannon:
    • Damage: +32%
    • Hit Speed: ‐25% (0.8sec → 1sec)


Melee Ranges

Troops with range under 2 had traditionally been classified as “Melee”, but had dramatically different ranges. This leads to some seemingly random interactions where one troop attacks before others without obvious reasons. With this update, melee cards have been re-classified as Melee: Long / Medium / Short.

For reference, a tile refers to the squares you see on the Arena that affect unit placement, range, and more!

  • Long (1.6 tiles):
    • 🔴 Mega Minion: -20% (2 → 1.6)
    • 🔴 Minions: - 20% (2 → 1.6)
    • 🔴 Night Witch: -3% (1.65 → 1.6)
    • 🔴 Prince: -14% (1.85 → 1.6)
  • Medium (1.2 tiles):
    • 🔴 Miner: -8% (1.3 → 1.2)
    • 🔴 Dark Prince: -4% (1.25 → 1.2), Area Damage Radius 1.25 → 1.2
    • 🔴 Goblin Giant: -4% (1.25 → 1.2)
    • 🔵 Mini Pekka: +14% (1.05 → 1.2)
    • 🔵 Elite Barbarians: +20% (1 → 1.2)
    • 🔵 Knight: +20% (1 → 1.2)
    • 🔵 Mega Knight: +20% (1 → 1.2)
    • 🔵 Valkyrie: +20% (1 → 1.2), Area Damage Radius 1 → 1.2
  • Short (0.8 tiles or less):
    • 🔴 Rascal Boy: -20% (1 → 0.8)
    • Existing troops with a range of 0.8 tiles or less will retain their current range. These include:
      • Giant Skeleton: 0.8
      • Goblin Brawler: 0.8
      • Hog Rider: 0.8
      • Ram Rider: 0.8
      • Royal Hogs: 0.75
      • Pekka: 0.75
      • Ice Golem: 0.75
      • Golem: 0.75
      • Bandit: 0.75
      • Lumberjack: 0.7
      • Barbarians: 0.7
      • Wallbreaker: 0.5
      • Skeletons: 0.5
      • Goblins: 0.5
      • Battle Ram: 0.5
      • Skeleton Barrel: 0.35
      • Golemite: 0.25
      • Balloon: 0.1
