Has it been six years already?! 😱 Clash Royale celebrates its sixth birthday in the upcoming season. Besides having a birthday theme throughout the month, Supercell will launch the biggest community event ever — Royale Crown Down!

Season starts on Monday, March 7, 2022.

The Pinata Tower Skin will be available to Pass Royale owners for the March season.

I thought that it’s interesting that Supercell has decided to use Piñata as a theme — given how region and culture-specific this object is.

Piñata is a container, often made of papier-mâché, that is decorated and filled with candy. They’re typically used as a a fun activity at parties, where people get blind-folded and would use a rod to try to bash the object in order to break the candies apart.

Piñatas are commonly associated with Mexico, and is popular in Latin America as well as United States. Other parts of the world has similar tradition of breaking containers that are filled with prizes, but their forms look very different than a pinata.

Fun thing is that there really aren’t many other things where you are supposed to break (like a princess tower) while being supposedly fun.

This is one of the few tower skins in the game where the in-game towers are equally decorative and decked out as their marketing images!

There will be five emotes this season. 😱

A free emote to celebrate the birthday — you should already see this at the shop. Don’t forget to pick it up before the end of the February season! 🕯

This is my favorite emote of the season — Electro Spirit playing with his oversized moustache. 😄 This will be the prize of a causal Birthday Ramp Up challenge. (March 7-11)

A play on the meme “Buddy Christ” originally from the 1999 film Dogma by Kevin Smith, this emote is alternatively known simply as “Heal Spirit Thumbs Up”. It will be available as part of the special event Royale Crown Down

Another wholesome emote for players who prefer love over toxicity. 🥰 This emote will be available at Tier 20 of Pass Royale.

Heal Spirit doing the Jelly Dance! This emote is available at the shop already. Pick it up with a Royal Wild Chest for 1000 gems at the shop. 🍮

To celebrate the 6th anniversary of Clash Royale, Supercell will run the largest community event ever where the entire world will come together to battle each other and try to win a super secret Birthday gift!

From March 12 to 25, players will join one of 12 teams captained by a Creator. You will then battle as a team to play in-game challenges and compete on an evolving gameboard to win prizes.

Each team will be represented by a character from Clash Royale, and be led by a content creator.

Players can decide which team they would like to join

You can participate in this event by going to the event website and connect with your Supercell ID (not live yet). After logging in, you will be able to pick the unit / content creator team that you wish to help out.

The event will track your performance in-game throughout the event — these are mostly based on crowns / win rates / other challenge criteria.

Points will be assigned to each team based on the player performances, and the team will collectively be given a score, which will then be ranked on the event website.

Performance is averaged by the number of players of the team, so there won’t be an advantage for larger teams.

There will be multiple milestones with associated prizes. Here are some highlights:

Global Achievement. Rewards are unlocked once a certain number of players have signed up.
Conquest. Rewards are unlocked when a team has covered a number of tiles on the game board.
Special achievements. Unique special emote just for participation.
In-game challenges. Special tiered challenges with Magic Coin prizes based on number of crowns scored in-game.
