Season 40 begins on Monday, October 3rd, 2022. Balance changes will happen in a scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022.

Arena
Battles in October will take place in a Spooky Town — a reuse from one of the lower arenas.
Tower Skins
Two tower skins are available this season — one designed to pair harmoniously with the Spooky Town arena, and the other is themed around a Royal Arena.
Night Witch Tower Skin (Pass Royale)
These gothic towers are decorated with stained windows and sculptures with bats. Unlock this skin at Tier 10 of Pass Royale.

Spooky Town Tower Skin
Thematically like haunted houses with crooked wooden branches, the spooky town tower skins will be available for purchase at the shop.

Emotes
There will be five new emotes this season.
Night Witch: Moonrise
This is the hottest emote of the season — bats fly over the moon and turn into a Night Witch. An absolute must-have! Pass Royale at Tier 20.

Twenty-Two (22) brand new banner items will be available this season. Sixteen (16) will come in your Banner Box, with an additional eight (8) available for purchase at the shop.

Challenges and Global Tournaments
October 3-10: Nightmare Bats Challenge
Nightmare Bats spawn on both sides of the arena! They’re hidden from troops, so rely on spells to keep them under control. 3 losses and you’re out, but you still have a chance to reset your losses and continue to play.
Win the Bat: Dance emote at 10 wins.
This was previously an 8-win practice challenge. It has been updated after release.
October 10-17: Mega Deck Challenge
Build a Mega Deck with 18 cards from your collection. 3 losses and you’re out, but you will have a chance to reset your losses and keep your progress.
October 12-16: Royal Tournament
Global tournament in normal mode.
October 17-26: Which Witch Draft Challenge
Pick 4 cards and receive 4 cards from your opponent; on of you will play with Witch, the other with play with Night Witch. Collect rewards with no losses! (Practice Challenge)
Win the Mother Witch: I made you this Sweater emote at 8 wins.
October 26 - November 2: Super Secret Challenge
It’s so secret that we have no information about this challenge…
October 29 - November 2: Triple Draft Tournament
Global Tournament in Triple Draft mode.
November 2 - November 11: Another Super Secret Challenge

Lumberjacks run from the Towers! The whole Arena is covered in the Rage spell! LET'S GOOOO!

Elixir generates at double speed!
2v2 Grave Guards
Guards spawn near the bridge, defend your Towers!
2v2 Battle
The classic 2v2 Battle! Team up with a friend or another player at your level
