Goblin Giant Evolution
In recent months there have been 2 clear content release patterns:
- 2 evolutions
- 1 evolution and 1 new card
This season continues with the Goblin theme of the recent update, adding evolutions for 2 Goblin cards. Today we'll look at the stats of Evolved Goblin Giant.
The evolution card description says the following:
The bigger the sack, the bigger the... amount of Goblins spawned!
At low health, this Evolution will spawn a stream of Goblins. Take him out quickly!
Evolution Stats
The new direction for evolutions is to avoid basic stat buffs and provide more complex mechanics. Evolved Goblin Giant will also have the same health and damage as the normal form.
Evolution Ability: Sack-trick!
Some wizards produce rabbits out of hats, Goblin Giant prefers Goblins.
Similar to the Goblin Demolisher, once his health is cut in half (below 50%), he triggers an ability. Evolved Goblin Giant will start spawning knife Goblins every 1.5 seconds.
For reference, this is slightly faster than the Hit Speed of the Spear Goblins in his back (1.7 s).
These Goblins always spawn 2.5 tiles behind the position of the Goblin Giant, regardless of where he's looking at. So basically, always 2.5 tiles closer to your side of the arena.
Evolution Cycles
Goblin Giant needs 1 Cycle to activate the evolution, so 1 in every 2 deploys will be evolved.
Evolution Release
The Goblin Giant Evolution will be released on July 1st, with the start of the new season.
Usually, card evolutions are released slightly before the end of the season, which is the first Monday of the month. As soon as this happens, you can unlock it with Wild Shards. After the new season begins, players who buy the Diamond Pass Royale get 6 Goblin Giant shards to unlock it.
