Card #110?
The 6th of November is the key date that you’ll want to remember. Although decks have changed a lot recently with evolutions, we haven’t seen strictly new cards since Monk and Phoenix were both released in October 2022. A whole year has gone by, and guess what? There’s a shiny new card on the horizon, we overheard goblins chattering about it being a brand-new Champion!
Bot Practice and Training Camp
Trainer Cheddar, Trainer Jonas, Trainer Max... if these names sound familiar, you have probably tried the Training Camp feature before. It was relocated to the hamburger menu of the Battle tab a long time ago, but these bots remained very rudimentary. The feature could be useful to test a few quick interactions, but not to practice and train as a realistic battle environment.
These basic trainers are being upgraded to Royale Bots, which will now be skilled bots that will do their best to try and beat you!
Royale Bots will be available in:
- Training Camp (hamburger menu)
- Practice button (hamburger menu > Battle Log)
The Practice button is new, and it lets you battle against the deck of a previous opponent from your battle log. You can change your deck or keep it the same, and the bot will use the deck with the same levels that you faced. This practice option is only available against decks that don’t have Champions, Royale Bots are still learning how to use them.
The aim of this feature is to give players more options to improve and test new decks, and to practice against specific decks that usually give you trouble. We haven’t yet been able to test the strength of these new trainers, so we’ll have to wait until Monday to see what they are really capable of.
User Interface improvements
Evolutions and Elite Wild Cards are some of the newest features in the game, and a few UI pop-ups are being added to help players familiarise with them.
A new pop-up explaining Evolution Shards, briefly explaining how many you need and how to obtain them.
A new pop-up explaining how to use evolutions: how to place them in your deck and how to activate them during battles.
A new pop-up explaining Elite Levels and how to use Elite Wild Cards.
Other improvements and fixes
- Removed King Level cap on trades of Elite cards.
- Removed external storage permissions for Android devices.
- Removed option to convert Magic Items into Elite Wild Cards if Elite Wild Card inventory is full. Overflow Magic Items will still convert to EWCs.
- Fix for Evolved Firecracker, which activated Evolved Barbarians’ Anger with each attack.
- Fix for Deck Explorer, which sometimes crashed when watching replays.
- Fixed card information screen for Elite Level cards, which didn’t have a button to use Magic Items, making it harder to use Evolution Shards on them. The button to spend Wild Shards will now be available for Level 15 cards as well.
- Fixed Troops facing the wrong way after being pushed back.
- Fixed Lightning chests showing incorrect Elite Wild Card total. This was a visual bug that caused chests with the lightning-choice mechanic to display less EWCs obtained than they were actually giving.
- Fix for Player Profiles not showing evolved cards properly in the Battle Deck section. Cards that are able to evolve will still be displayed with the evolution frame, and those that are in the evolution slot will also have a glowing highlight.
- Fixed issue with chests in Shop offers displaying an incorrect Arena.
- Improvements for foldable devices, allowing the UI to better adapt to different aspect ratios.
- Fixed the crash that was triggered when buying Elite Wild Cards from the shop while at the inventory limit. This happened when players had the max amount of 400K EWCs but tried to buy more from the weekly shop offer.
- Removed Hoggy Bank gold being increased when players canceled a trade.
