Every day, players will be able to complete 5 tasks (before it was 3). Completing these tasks gives you bonus crowns and Lucky Drops.

---|---|
#1 | 1-Star Box |
#2 | 5 Crowns |
#3 | 1-Star Box |
#4 | 10 Crowns |
#5 | 2-Star Box |
On top of this, you can have a Task Streak by completing all 5 tasks multiple days in a row. The Task Streak will be the last feature to be enabled after the update.

Stars? Bonus Spins? What is this all about?
Lucky Drops 2.0
Lucky Drops are getting a big revamp that will make them more flexible as a reward, so you can expect to see them more often over the game. Pass Royale, Season Shop, giveaways...
The main thing you’ll notice at first is that the old rarities are gone. Instead of Common, Rare, Epic... Lucky Drops now have rarities based on Stars; in short more Stars means better rewards.
One of the issues this aims to address is how Box rarities could be confused with the rarity of their rewards. E.g.: why did a Rare Box give me common cards? The new rarity system removes this confusion.
New Rarities
Lucky Drop rarities can range from 1 to 5 stars. Note that old Lucky Drops used to only had 4, but this doesn’t mean that the new tier has even better rewards. All the possible rewards have been adjusted and redistributed.
Starting Rarity
The main change that has given more flexibility to Lucky Drops is the starting rarity. Now Mystery Boxes won’t all be the same, you’ll see that some are labelled with bonus stars. This allows some Mystery Boxes to guarantee awesome rewards, and not to rely solely on chance.
Bonus Spins
This other feature is minor compared to the starting rarity, but it still makes a meaningful difference. Bonus Spins give you more than the default 4 Spins, making it much more likely to obtain better rewards.
Normally Lucky Drops won’t have Bonus Spins, and for now you can only earn this kind of boost with the Lucky Drop that you earn with your Task Streak.
New Probabilities
The summary of all this section is that now there will be different types of Lucky Drops, and each has a different final rarity distribution:
Start | 1-Star | 2-Star | 3-Star | 4-Star | 5-Star |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1-Star + 4 Spins | 31.6% | 43.9% | 20.1% | 4.0% | 0.3% |
2-Star + 4 Spins | - | 35.2% | 47.2% | 15.4% | 2.3% |
3-Star + 4 Spins | - | - | 47.5% | 38.9% | 13.7% |
4-Star (No Spins) | - | - | - | 100.0% | - |
5-Star (No Spins) | - | - | - | - | 100.0% |
1-Star + 5 Spins | 23.7% | 41.7% | 25.6% | 8.0% | 0.9% |
1-Star + 6 Spins | 17.8% | 38.1% | 32.6% | 9.8% | 1.7% |
1-Star + 7 Spins | 13.3% | 33.8% | 35.8% | 15.0% | 2.1% |
As you can see based on the final probabilities, Bonus Spins don’t make a huge difference.
One of the main reasons for this is that not all Spins are equal; depending on the stating box, there are different upgrade probabilities. For example, a "1-Star + 4 Spins" has a 23% chance of upgrading from 4S to 5S; a "1-Star + 7 Spins" only has 10%.
Overall, there’s no need to be concerned with all these details. The summary is: more Spins are good, and higher staring rarity is even more important.
New Rewards
All the old rewards are going to remain available, but there are new items that you can obtain now:
- Battle Banners
- Emotes
- Random Cards
A selection of Battle Banners and Emotes from previous seasons can be found in 2-Star and 3-Star boxes, respectively.
Random Cards are new to Lucky Drops, as you used to only get Wild Cards and Magic Books. We don’t have an official explanation for this change, but our guess is that this is meant to help players advance their collection more evenly. Magic Items are great to guide your progress, but also make it harder to level up cards you aren’t used to. The bright side of this change is that it allows for the loot amounts to be more generous.
For example, do you prefer to get 400 random Common cards or 150 Common Wild Cards? Each player will have their own preference, but random cards will be a bigger contribution for your overall progression. If you have some cards maxed, this is even better, as it means many more Elite Wild Cards.
Arena Dependent Rewards
Another change that was introduced to Lucky Drops is that rewards will scale gradually based on the arena you are in. Previously, your arena only defined the type of rewards you had access to.
This change makes it almost impossible for us to show the rewards that each player can expect, so we’ll take an Arena 23 (9,000 trophies) player as reference.

Daily Tasks Rewards: Old vs New
A lot of rarities, a lot of possible rewards, a lot of math... Is this good or bad?
Let’s take a look at the Daily Tasks, and compare the "before" and "after" that you can expect for completing tasks during 1 season, 30 days:
Old Tasks | New Tasks | Change | |
---|---|---|---|
Gold | 27,190.13 | 281,865.43 | +937% |
Elite Wild Cards | 12,562.50 | 9,111.38 | –27% |
Wild Shard | 0.34 | 0.35 | +3% |
Full Evolution | 0.05 | 0.06 | +29% |
Common Book | 0.41 | 0.32 | –20% |
Rare Book | 0.37 | 0.32 | –13% |
Epic Book | 0.24 | 0.26 | +9% |
Legendary Book | 0.15 | 0.26 | +72% |
Book of Books | 0.10 | 0.16 | +61% |
Common Cards | 632.91 | 8,378.73 | +1,224% |
Rare Cards | 181.27 | 1,922.38 | +961% |
Epic Cards | 29.31 | 160.76 | +448% |
Legendary Cards | 4.46 | 14.11 | +217% |
Champion Cards | 2.57 | 9.32 | +263% |
Banner | 0.00 | 1.88 | - |
Emote | 0.00 | 1.48 | - |
EWC Value | 31,635.70 | 88,747.45 | +181% |
Elite Wild Card (EWC) Value is a metric we commonly use to aggregate rewards into a single metric that makes comparisons easier. This is possible because EWCs are the main resource for end-game progression.
If we look at the EWC Value (disregarding Magic Books), the new daily task system give you a boost of 181%, which means that it almost triples the amount of EWC.
Players who care about earlier progression are usually limited by Gold; +900% isn’t bad, according to some Goblins we consulted with.
Pass Royale 3.0
The second part of the experience redesign is based in Pass Royale, but it’s also linked to Lucky Drops. Over the Pass Royale steps, you’ll be able to earn many, some with even 3-Star and 4-Star starting rarities!
This update condenses the 100+ steps of Pass Royale we used to have into just 60. To complete them all, you’ll need to collect a total of 785 crowns.
Lucky Loop
Once you complete the main stage of Pass Royale, you’ll be able to collect extra rewards with Lucky Loop. Basically, it’s an updated Pass Bank that lets you grind even more Lucky Drops. This is available both for Diamond and Free Pass tiers!
Crown requirements are moderate at first, but later grow exponentially and become impossible to reach by design; unless you are FXPRO. Of the 43 available extra Lucky Drops, you can expect to complete more than 30 if you play regularly.
Other Pass Changes
- Gold tier wasn’t very popular, and it’s being removed to simplify the Pass Royale UI.
- There’s a Wild Shard at step 60 of the Free Tier!
- Animated Banners are moving to the Free Pass; Tower Skin and Emote remain as exclusive cosmetics
- With Premium Pass, you now get 1,525 Gems and a Legendary King’s Chest!
Overall, resource changes are mixed for the Diamond Pass and quite positive for the Free Pass, even without taking the Lucky Loop into account.
A Few More Things
Now that evolutions are more accessible, the 2nd Evolution Slot will be unlocked much sooner, at King Tower 11 (account level 30). Before, it was unlocked at King Tower 15 (account level 54).
A few other minor changes:
- Boost Potion duration is being increased from 1 to 3 hours.
- Option to report clans and descriptions.
- Goblin Road is going away soon, a countdown will start once the end-date has been decided. Players will earn a Goblin Road badge based on their result.
- New ’Selected Deck’ indicator in the homescreen, next to the Battle button. It doubles as a shortcut to edit your deck.
And bug fixes like:
- Hovering troops will be damaged by ground effects like Earthquake.
- Death Damage won’t apply during Tiebreaker stage.
- Fixed the Void hitting troops outside its radius.
- Fixed Goblin Drill Evolution spawning goblins while underground.
- Fixed Goblin Drill sometimes pushing other troops when going underground.
- Fixed Battle Ram Evolution not damaging large troops.
- Various fixes to Goblin Cage Evolution.
