Electro Dragon Evolution - October 2024 (Season 64)

In recent months, there have been 2 clear content release patterns:
- 2 evolutions
- 1 evolution and 1 new card
Electro Dragon will be the main evolution of the season, which is the one you can unlock with Pass Royale (the new one!). Will there be another evo? A new card? We'll share those details very soon!
The evolution card description says the following:
Can't stop, won't stop!
Evolved Electro Dragon's attack will chain between targets infinately and can hit the same target more than once.
Evolution Stats
Once again, Supercell avoids giving basic stat buffs to a new evolution. The main stats of the normal Electro Dragon are the same as the evolution.
Evolution Ability: Infinite Bolts!
Evolved Electro Dragon now spits bolts that don't have a limit of 3 chained targets. Evolved bolts will keep bouncing between targets indefinitely.
This means that as long as there are 2 or more target withing bounce range, the bolts won't dissipate. And yes, these bolts will accumulate as the Electro Dragon keeps spitting more!
This ability is really powerful to defend against beatdown and any push that has several troops.
Possible Counters
Although very powerful, the ability is also quite simple, so that's all we have to share today. In case it's useful, we have also looked at possible ways to get rid of this evolution through direct spell damage:

To ensure you destroy an Electro Dragon, you have to resort to the big spells (Rocket or Lightning) or a combination of medium spells (Fireball, Poison and Arrows).
Evolution Cycles
Electro Dragon needs 1 Cycle to activate the evolution, so 1 in every 2 deploys will be evolved.
Evolution Release
The Electro Dragon Evolution will be released on October 7th, with the start of the new season.
Usually, card evolutions are released slightly before the end of the season, which is the first Monday of the month. As soon as this happens, you can unlock it with Wild Shards. After the new season begins, players who buy the Diamond Pass Royale get 6 Electro Dragon shards to unlock it.
