Goblin Curse is a new spell that will be added to Clash Royale with the 2024 Q2 update. In the following days we’ll give you more information on how to obtain this card, but today we get to focus on the stats.
The card description says the following:
And thrice were their afflictions... nixed, vexed, and hexed!
Enemy troops in the area will receive extra damage from attacks and become Goblins when destroyed. Deals damage to enemies over time.
The card image shows a glass bottle containing a green fluid, with a wooden cap that resembles the head of a Goblin.
The card character image shows a Barbarian that’s suffering some kind of transformation. Green skin, a pointy ear... he’s turning into a Goblin!

This new card is a cheap spell that can give you a lot of value in some situations, but seems to be less versatile than other small spells like The Log and Arrows.
Goblin Curse Stats
At tournament standard (level 11):

The 4 tile radius is slightly bigger than Poison (3.5 tiles).
This spell lasts 6 seconds and deals 1 tick of damage in each of them, a total of 6 ticks.
At tournament standard (level 11), this translates to 150 damage to troops and 30 damage to towers.

The Damage per Elixir ratio doesn’t look very appealing at first, but if you take the other effects into consideration, the value can change significantly.
Bonus Damage
The 50% damage bonus won’t affect Crown Towers, but it will help you destroy enemy troops faster when combined with other damage sources.
This can be specially powerful due to the other ability of this spell: transforming destroyed troops into Goblins.
Cursed Troops into Goblins
Apparently Mother Witch isn’t the only troop who has learned black magic, is there a Goblin Wizard who created the Goblin Curse? For now, we only know that this curse spell transforms troops into Goblins instead of Hogs.
Cursed troops turn into Goblins; unlike cursed Hogs, these Goblins are normal, with the same stats and pointy knives.

You can pair Goblin Curse with other spells to destroy stronger troops, but just the base damage will be enough to turn small enemy swarms into green allies, as long as you can keep them in the damage area for a few seconds.

Goblin Curse is released with 2 mastery task sets.
