Bomber Evolution - February 2024 (Season 56)
Stats and ability details of Bomber, the new Clash Royale evolution of February 2024.

After last month’s shift to new rarities with Valkyrie, we are back to common cards. Bomber is the 12th evolution to be released in Clash Royale, and it seems strong enough to make an explosive entrance in the meta.

Bomber Evolution
What does the evolved Bomber do? The card description says the following:
Bomber has discovered the art of bomb bouncing. It’s like skipping stone, but much more exciting. With his new skill, Bomber will be able to hit multiple targets in a row with one attack!
Evolution Stats
Evolved Bomber has these stat buffs:
- +25% Hit Points (HP)
The HP increase is similar to the Firecracker and Archers: enough to survive Arrows but not to survive Fireball. Unlike the other two, Bomber only costs 2 elixir, so this is an even more significant buff that will lead to many positive elixir trades.

Evolution Ability: Bouncy Bomb!
Whenever the evolved Bomber throws one of his bombs, the bomb will bounce 2 times and cause additional explosions with each bounce.
Each of the explosions deals the same damage as normal explosion. A key detail is that the 3rd explosion can reach the crown tower of your opponent when you line it up correctly, even from your side of the arena, similar to a Magic Archer snipe.
In this example, the Bomber targets the offensive Mortar and the last bomb bounce reaches the center of the hit-box of the enemy’s crown tower. This shows there’s still a lot of margin to reach the crown tower. With the area damage of the bomb, even misaligned bounces are very likely to reach the crown tower... should we consider Evolved Bomber a win-condition?
Evolution Cycles
Bomber needs 1 Cycle to activate the evolution, so 1 in every 2 deploys will be evolved. This is different to other cheap cards, which usually need 2 cycles. Could this make it one of the strongest evolutions? We think it’s quite likely.
Evolution Release
The Bomber Evolution will be released on February 5th, with the start of the year and the new season.
Usually, card evolutions are released slightly before the end of the season, which is the first Monday of the month. As soon as this happens, you can unlock it with Wild Shards. After the new season begins, players who buy the Diamond Pass Royale get 6 Bomber shards to unlock it.
