Boost Fields
Boost Fields is a new game mode that will start appearing in the game on Monday, May 22nd.
No Rivers Nor Bridges
It‘s played in a map with no rivers or bridges, but with towers.
No rivers or bridges means that your troops will walk straight from their deployment zone, only to lean towards the enemy towers when they’re close.
Boost Bottles
As the game progresses, boost bottles will periodically appear at the center of the map.
Units will be able to pick them up when they walk over them.
Note that this applies to troops only. You won’t be able to pick them up with spells even if they cross paths.
Four types of boosts are available - Rage, Invisibility, Clone, and Heal.
Banned Cards
Three troops will not be playable in this game mode: Miner, Goblin Barrel, Drill.
Similarity to Touchdown
In some ways, the game feels a bit like Touchdown because of how the troops walk and how you deploy them.
But on a whole, the troop interaction feels a lot closer to the normal game mode, where princess tower fires will aid in your battle.
Because of that, it’s actually easier to predict how much it takes for you to defend units. In turn, that makes the game mode a lot more fun to play.
Endnote
I really enjoyed this game mode when I play tested it, and I hope that you will, too.
