Season 51 King’s Gambit (September 2023)
Supercell and Chess.com have teamed up to unveil a new season, infusing the Clash Universe with the strategic world of chess.

The collaboration between Chess.com and Clash Royale represents an intriguing fusion of traditional strategic gameplay with modern mobile gaming. This partnership introduces unique events influenced by chess strategies in Clash Royale and integrates Clash Royale elements into Chess.com, enhancing the overall gaming experiences for both games.
Season 51 begins on Monday, September 4th, 2023. There are no balance changes for the season.

Arena
The September battles will unfold in the Chess Arena, an innovative new environment designed to resemble a chess board, complete with checkerboard tiles.
Tower Skins
There will be one tower skin available for this season.
Castling Castle (Pass Royale Gold)
The tower skin for September plays homage to the chess move of castling, incorporating design elements reminiscent of chess pieces, particularly the rook and the king.

Emotes
This season will introduce seven (7) new emotes, with four inspired by chess, two being a unique collaboration with Samsung’s flip phones, and one celebrating the launch of Royal Recruit Evolution.
King: Chess Check (Path of Legends)
The king executes a check in chess.
King: Chess Crush (Challenges)
The Golem, resembling a Rook, smashes the king into pieces.
King: Chess Quit (IAP)
Realizing imminent defeat, the king abruptly ends the game in frustration, scattering the chess pieces from the board.
King: Chess Think (Season Shop)
The king contemplates his subsequent move in chess.
King: Red Button (Samsung Collaboration)
The king activates a red button that appears on his folded phone.
King: Unfold (Samsung Collaboration)
The king reveals a three-crown game as he unfolds his phone.
Royal Recruits Evolution: Wake Up (Pass Royale Gold)
Awakening from slumber, the Royal Recruit’s eyes glow red, signalling his readiness for battle.

Royal-er Recruits: Sep 4 - 11
A new Evolution event will incorporate Royal Recruits as a mandatory inclusion in the deck.
Chess Royale: Sep 11 - 18
Players will experience a chess board-style arrangement of units and buildings, replacing the usual towers.
Mirror, Mirror: Sep 18 - 25
Both players commence the game with identical decks and starting hands.
Prince’s Revenge!: Sep 25 - Oct 2
The Prince receives a rage buff that incrementally increases his speed after every two hits.
Loading Screen
The new season’s loading screen depicts a tense blue king facing off against a colossal, intimidating red king.
